'Muhammad (PBUH): The Messenger of God' location attracts tourists

A location of 'Muhammad (PBUH): The Messenger of God' is turned into a popular tourist destination.

Acclaimed 'Muhammad (PBUH): The Messenger of God' filming location has been turned into a popular tourist destination, attracting many movie lovers already.

Some scenes of the flick, directed by Majid Majidi, were filmed in Bonud village that became one of the tourist attractions of Asaluyeh County in Bushehr Province.

Bushehr is famous for its tourist attractions, with the industrial county of Asaluyeh being one of them.

Due to popular visit of the the featured location following film screening, the pristine village of Bonud was compiled into the list of the must-see places in Asaluyeh which enjoys many natural attractions such as Hara forests.

'Muhammad (PBUH): The Messenger of God' portrays the life of Islam’s Holy Prophet (PBUH) and narrates his early years in Mecca. This is the first part of a trilogy which seems to cover the entire life of the Prophet (PBUH).

A number of internationally-acclaimed professionals, including Academy Award winning visual effects supervisor and filmmaker, Scott E. Anderson, and three-time Oscar-winning Italian director of photography, Vittorio Storaro, collaborated in the making of the film.

The movie attracted a large number of audiences during its screening in Iranian cinemas and other countries, including Russia, Turkey, Iraq and Azerbaijan.

The screenplay of the film, which is the biggest-budget production in Iranian cinema, was co-written by Majidi and Kambozia Partovi.
